Concrete Structure Condition Surveys

Our Concrete Condition Surveys help you assess the current state of your concrete structures, identify potential issues, and plan effective maintenance or repairs.

Typical survey techniques include visual and delamination surveys, half-cell surveys, cover surveys, carbonation testing, resistivity testing and chloride analysis.

If the use of galvanic anodes or impressed current cathodic protection is being considered then testing the electrical resistance of the reinforcement in the concrete is also recommended, as electrical continuity of reinforcement is essential to ensuring that these techniques work.

Half-cell testing, when used in conjunction with the above survey methods can provide a rapid assessment of corrosion risk. Equipment developments mean that large concrete areas can now be rapidly surveyed and the results accurately plotted onto plans of the structure; in order that corrosion control treatments can be targeted closely to at risk areas.

Corrosion Prevention Limited can provide site surveys and analysis of survey data. We are fully independent and can recommend the appropriate corrosion control strategy for your project.
